Volunteering with an animal charity like Animal Nepal can be an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. Animal Nepal offers different internship & volunteering opportunities for people with a genuine interest in animal welfare ready to commit their skills, time and effort to our cause.
Animal Nepal Internship Program
Each year, Animal Nepal offers an internship program for final year veterinary students from HICAST where they get to learn about small and large animals under the supervision of our Vets and Technicians. The program is for 1 month and they are expected to divide their time between our Chobhar Dog Treatment Center and Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary. The program is also open to trainee Junior Technical Assistants. Aside from the medical training, an equal emphasis is given on teaching about animal welfare, with the hope that the future veterinary service providers of Nepal will put into practice what they have learnt from Animal Nepal.
Animal Nepal Volunteering Program
Animal Nepal welcomes local and foreign volunteers to help out at our Chobhar Dog Treatment Center, Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary and our Head Office. In some instances there may also be opportunities to volunteer in our working areas outside of Kathmandu Valley. The work can include cleaning the shelter, grooming our animals, assisting our staff, admin work, fundraising and other specialized work depending on your interest and expertise.
