Meet our Board

Shoba Rayamajhi is a dedicated entrepreneur and community advocate with over two decades of experience in sustainable agriculture, organic retail and hospitality. She is the founder and managing director of Farmers Mart, a community-focused organic store in Lalitpur and Dhokadi Farm, supporting 25 local families through sustainable farming initiatives. She also established 1905 Restaurant, pioneering the farm-to-table concept and hosting one of Kathmandu’s largest organic farmers’ markets. An active leader in social and environmental causes, Shoba serves as President of Animal Nepal and contributes to several other community organizations. A passionate animal lover, her home is shared with her three adopted dogs—Mamba, Setu, and Rocks and Raani.

Pramada Shah is the Co-founder and Immediate Past President of Animal Nepal, and a lifelong social activist dedicated to advancing both human and animal welfare. She is also the founder of SAATHI and Burns Violence Survivors Nepal, organizations that have played a significant role in supporting vulnerable communities and advocating for social justice in Nepal.

A passionate advocate for animal welfare, Pramada has been instrumental in promoting compassion and protection for animals across the country. Her commitment extends into her personal life, where she shares her home with 12 rescued dogs and a bull.

Through her work and advocacy, Pramada continues to inspire positive change, championing empathy, care, and dignity for all living beings.

Kishori Shah is a dedicated animal lover and a strong advocate for animal welfare. She brings over a decade of professional experience in the banking sector, having worked with Standard Chartered Bank Nepal in customer service and credit functions.

An alumna of St. Mary’s High School Jawalakhel and St. Bede’s College Shimla, Kishori combines her professional expertise with a deep commitment to compassionate causes. In her role as Treasurer, she contributes to strengthening the financial stewardship of Animal Nepal.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking. She is also a proud pet parent to two dogs adopted from the streets of Kathmandu.

Jyoti Simha is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years in Nepal’s travel and tourism industry. She has held several leadership roles, including Cargo Manager for Jet Airways at Hansa International, and Executive Director at Gorkha Travels, where she oversaw overall company operations.

Jyoti’s extensive management experience and organizational skills now support her role as a Board Member of Animal Nepal, where she contributes to strengthening the organization’s work. She also has a deep interest in animal welfare and is committed to promoting compassion and care for animals.

Rita Limbu holds a Master’s degree in History with a focus on China and Japan from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur. She brings over 29 years of experience in the media sector, working as a radio program presenter and producer, where she has engaged audiences through informative and meaningful content.

Deeply interested in spirituality and social service, Rita is also a passionate advocate for animal welfare. She has followed a vegetarian lifestyle for over 30 years, reflecting her long-standing commitment to compassion and ethical living. Through her personal values and professional work, she continues to contribute to raising awareness on social and humanitarian issues.

Urvashi Rana is a history graduate and a social worker, committed to community development and cultural promotion. She is a board member in BVS- Nepal (Burns Violence Survivors) and Animal Nepal. Urvashi is a Rotarian and has served as Past President of Rotary Club of Jawalakhel Manjushree, contributing to various social initiatives. She is an Executive board member of Nepal Art Council, where she promotes the Nepalese arts and crafts both at the local and international level. Her diverse roles reflect her passion for social service, animal rights, and cultural enrichment.

Paralita Malla began her career in education, building a strong foundation in teaching before transitioning into the field of children’s entertainment, where she brings creativity and engagement to young audiences.

She is an active member of several respected organizations, including the Zonta Club of Kathmandu, Senora Toastmasters Club, and the Rotary Club of Jawalakhel Manjushree, reflecting her commitment to community service and personal development.

Paralita has a deep empathy for animals and a genuine love for their well-being. In her personal time, she enjoys watching movies and traveling, embracing opportunities to explore new experiences and perspectives.
